Help.

Plain answers to what people ask before they start, and after. Still stuck? Write to hello@sproot.money or ask us on X, @sprootmoney. We answer within two days.

Getting started

Do I need a wallet to start?

No. An email is enough. When you sign up with your email, we set up a wallet for you through Privy, a wallet provider. Everything Sproot buys for you lands in it, and you can send it out any time.

Email or my own wallet: which should I pick?

If you have never used a crypto wallet, pick email: it is the shortest way in, and it is the only door with card top-ups. If you already use a wallet like Phantom, connect it instead. Your plan then buys straight into the wallet you already have.

Where can I use Sproot?

Almost anywhere. If you live in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia or Canada, Gold and Stocks aren't available to you yet. Crypto is. We ask once, when you start, and only show you what you can buy.

How much do I need?

From $50 a month. You choose how it splits across Gold, Stocks and Crypto. Each stock you pick gets at least $10 a month.

Adding money

How do I put money in?

If you signed up with email, top up with a card right from the app, where cards are available. Our card partner may ask for a quick ID check the first time, and the money usually arrives within a few minutes. Or send USDC on Solana from any wallet or exchange app to your wallet's address, which the app shows with a QR code.

Do I need SOL to pay for fees?

No. On the months that run on their own, Sproot pays the Solana network fee. Your wallet only needs the dollars you plan to invest. The rare month that needs one tap from your wallet pays its own fee, a fraction of a cent.

What if my wallet is short on the day?

We warn you ahead of time by email, so you can top up. If the money still isn't there, that month's buy is skipped and we try again next month. Nothing is borrowed and nothing is sold.

Your plan

Where does my money stay?

In your own wallet. It sits there until each monthly buy goes out, and what you buy comes straight back to it. We never hold it for you, and we can only ever invest the amount you approved, not a cent more.

Can I change what I buy?

Yes. You can change which stocks you pick at any time, without approving again; the change applies from next month. Changing the monthly amount means approving the new amount once.

Careful, Balanced, Bold: what's the difference?

Three ready-made ways to split the same three baskets. Careful is half Gold; Balanced leans on Stocks; Bold holds the most Crypto. More Gold tends to move less, more Crypto moves more, in both directions. Which one ends up ahead depends on how the markets go, and nobody, Sproot included, controls that. You can also set your own percentages.

Can I pause or stop?

Yes. Pause whenever you like and resume later. Stopping switches off your wallet's permission for good, and you keep everything you bought.

How do I take my money out?

Any time, whether your plan is running, paused or stopped. If you signed up with email, the Send page does it: pick what to send, paste the address of the wallet it should go to, and confirm once; Sproot pays the network fee. If you connected your own wallet, everything is already in it: send it from your wallet app. Crypto arrives as Wrapped SOL, which your wallet can unwrap.

What does it cost?

Sproot charges nothing today. The Solana network charges a one-time deposit, about half a dollar, the first time you hold each asset, to open its account in your wallet; it is yours to recover if you ever close that account. Each monthly buy pays the network a fraction of a cent, and the price can move a little between the quote and the buy. We never let that go past 1%.

How do I get an account deposit back?

The deposit stays in the asset's account in your wallet, and it comes back when that account is closed. If you connected your own wallet, send or sell everything in the account first, then close the empty account from your wallet app; the deposit returns to your wallet as SOL. If you signed up with email, Sproot can't close accounts for you yet, so until it can, the deposit stays in the account. It is still yours.

When something looks wrong

This month's buy didn't go through. What happened?

Usually one of two things: your wallet was short of the monthly amount on the day, or one basket couldn't be bought at a fair price just then. Either way nothing was taken for it, your recap email names what happened, and we try again next month. If the recap doesn't match what you see in your wallet, write to us.

I didn't get the code email.

Check spam and promotions first; the sender is hello@sproot.money. Then tap Resend code. If it still doesn't arrive after a few minutes, your mailbox may be refusing it: try the wallet door, or write to us from another address.

My wallet won't connect on my phone.

On a phone, open sproot.money inside your wallet app's own browser (in Phantom, the globe tab at the bottom) and connect from there. If you'd rather not, the email door works in any browser and gives you a wallet of its own.

The app says it can't reach me.

An email we sent you bounced. On the Plan page, under Where we reach you, save a working address and we start writing to it again. If you signed up with an email that no longer works, write to hello@sproot.money.

How do I reach a person?

Write to hello@sproot.money. A person reads every message, and we answer within two days.

Safety

What can Sproot do with my approval?

Move at most the monthly amount you approved, and only into that month's purchases. Every buy is checked before it is sent; if anything looks off, it is refused. You can switch the permission off whenever you like.

How do I know an email is really from Sproot?

Every email we send carries your verification phrase, the same words every time and unique to you. If an email doesn't show it, it isn't from us.

Is this investment advice? Is it guaranteed?

Neither. Investments go up and down, so we always show a range, never a promise. Only put in what you're comfortable holding for the long run.

Ready when you are.

Pick an amount, approve it once, and it buys every month. Pause or stop anytime.

Takes two minutes with just an email. Pay by card, or with USDC you already have.
